I guess that I've never seen a BIOS that doesn't do either manual or auto-detection of drives. The time now is 10:48. When I power it up and click on MyComputer, neither of these drives are shown. I would consider that unusual and try to see if there is a BIOS update for that particular Dell system that corrects that or deals with it.
